The mission of the Scotland Neck Police Department is to preserve life, protect property, and maintain order through a partnership between the department and the citizens of Scotland Neck.

The Patrol Division

The patrol division is the backbone of the police department. It is comprised of eight officers which provide 24/7 coverage to our citizens. Shifts are commanded by Patrol Sergeants. The Patrol Division responds to calls for service, enforces traffic regulations and provides basic police services for the town of Scotland Neck. All of our officers are highly trained and ready to assist you.

The Administrative Division

The administrative Division oversees the day to day operations of the department, manage the budget and otherwise make sure that the department has everything it needs to provide the citizens of Scotland Neck with first class police services.

Animal Control - Code Enforcement

Officer Sammy Denton operates our Animal Control and Code Enforcement Division. Officer Denton patrols the town of Scotland Neck and responds to calls from citizens dealing with domesticated animals and other animal related complaints.

November 2016 - Lt. Governor Dan Forest congratulates Administrative Assistant Barbara Braddy and Officer Jesse Fernandez on their retirement from the Scotland Neck Police Department. 




Ordinance Code 68 Chapter 14, Article IV, 51:


It shall be unlawful for any motor vehicle, trailer or semitrailer to occupy more than one parking space in any parking area in the center of Main Street between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.
